THE WINDOW FILM COMPANY GET MUDDY FOR MONEY!

Oct 24 2014

Colleagues from The Window Film Company swapped the office for the outdoors recently as they braved a five mile obstacle course to raise money for the Berkhamsted based Hospice of St Francis.

A team of five intrepid runners represented the Chesham-based Company in the “Mud Pack Challenge” held at Ashridge House in a bid to raise funds for the cancer care charity. The course featured a range of challenging obstacles including skips filled with cold muddy water, crawl nets, monkey bars and firemen’s hoses that were used to blast runners with icy cold water.

All five members of the team completed the course, raising over £250 for the charity in the process.

After completing the course, Director of The Window Film Company Micky Calcott said:

As a local Company we’re committed to doing what we can to help local charities. This was a fantastic opportunity to raise money whilst doing something fun, enjoyable and a bit different. Despite being muddier than I’ve ever been and soaked to the skin – I’d do it all again tomorrow! The organisation was brilliant and to have it in the grounds of the spectacular Ashridge House was a real bonus. After all that running, jumping, climbing and crawling, returning to work will be a walk in the park!

The Window Film Company have furthered their commitment to the Hospice by signing up as a Platinum Level Corporate Partner, a regular commitment that serves to further the relationship between the company and the charity.

In becoming a Corporate Partner we enjoy the opportunity of meeting up with other business owners and individuals in the area, but most importantly we know we are making a regular contribution to a charity that is close to our hearts. We are proud of what we do as a supplier and installer of window film, but we think it’s important to look at other ways of help the local community whenever we can. We’re also a corporate partner at Chesham United FC and will continue to look for ways to play a part locally. Despite a few aching limbs I think it’s fair to say we’ll definitely be back for the Mud Pack Challenge next year. ”
