When a school in Gloucestershire wanted to brighten up their glazing, The Window Film Company were happy to be able to deliver a stylish solution.

Schools are among the most important buildings in the country, with hundreds of thousands of students attending classes each day of the week. Ensuring that the premises are as conducive to learning as possible is a vital consideration, and efforts are consistently being made to create facilities that are welcoming and comfortable.

As part of this commitment, Upper Rissington School wanted to add colour to a selection of the glazing throughout their premises. The brief was to transform the colour of glazing without sacrificing natural light or blocking the view from either side. The Window Film Company was happy to be able to assist.

Rainbow film by The Window Film Company is a range of brightly coloured transparent films that once applied, completely change the colour of the glass. The film does not block light or vision, resulting in a bright, vivid effect that can improve not just the glass, but also the surrounding area.

Samples of the film were sent to the project managers, allowing them to choose the appropriate colours for the work. Three shades were chosen, with the colours alternating throughout fifteen panels of various sizes throughout the school. A proportion of the glazing was at second storey level, meaning that access equipment was required to carry out the installation. This element of the project was organised by The Window Film Company’s dedicated operations team, whose role it is to organise logistics; including liaising with representatives of the school to arrange a suitable installation date.

The work itself was carried out by one of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified fitting teams, each of whom is vastly experienced when it comes to working using static and powered access equipment. The team carefully measured each panel before applying the appropriate film and hand trimming to ensure a perfect finish for each window.

With the work complete, the transformation was immediate. The bright colours cast a soft but vibrant glow and served to create a welcoming appearance both internally and externally, to the delight of staff and students alike.
