DIGITAL WALLPAPER DELIVERS

Jul 24 2015

When a global workforce management company undertook a refurbishment of their Bracknell based headquarters, The Window Film Company were proud to play a part in delivering a range of bespoke decorative solutions for glass and a host of other surfaces.

One of the most eye-catching aspects of the wide ranging project was the print and install of several large expanses of digital wallpaper. An exciting innovation in decoration, digital wallpaper can be printed upon to create a fully bespoke solution that can be applied to almost any flat surface. The paste-free application process means it is suitable for affixing to surfaces that may historically have been ignored, such as storage units and doors.

As well as being a versatile product, digital wallpaper is also incredibly durable and hardwearing, making it ideal for use in high traffic areas such as receptions and corridors. It was these benefits that lead to the specification of digital wallpaper for several busy rooms within the office space.

The wallpaper was to be created in a range of bright, vivid colours, with each panel featuring words and phrases that highlight the company’s ethos and mission. The artwork was supplied direct from the client, allowing The Window Film Company’s in house print and graphics team to create scaled proofs for each of the panels.

With the proofs approved, the panels were printed on one of the departments’ wide-format printers, the combination of print technology, quality inks and a fantastic product resulting in bright, clear, large format reproductions of the graphics. Each panel was comfortably over 2 metres in height, with some of the installations of such a size that several drops of wallpaper were required. The expertise of The Window Film Company’s vastly experienced fitting team allowed them to fit the wallpaper with a virtually imperceptible join, ensuring a visually perfect finish.

Work was also carried out throughout the rest of the stylish space, including the creation and installation almost 100 linear metres of manifestation as well as the printing and fitting of several large printed vinyl panels.

With the work complete, the office took on a bright, professional and welcoming aesthetic, with the newly installed wallpaper and graphics incorporating the company brand and beliefs into the very fabric of the premises.
