SPEAKING STATESIDE - INTERNATIONAL WINDOW FILM CONFERENCE

Here at The Window Film Company we were very proud when our founder Micky Calcott was invited to speak at the International Window Film Conference which has been taking place in Nevada, USA this week.

As we continue to use new technology and advances in film and other printable media to grow our product range, we see one of my most important roles as helping people understand the diverse and ever expanding possibilities that window film can deliver, so the theme of Micky’s talk at the Conference was “Opportunities in the Decorative Film Market”.

When The Window Film Company was founded back in 1998, the focus was initially on architectural films such as solar control, privacy and safety or security products.  It very quickly became apparent there was so much more that could be achieved by creative use of the products available within the industry and so we set about making printed graphics and decorative films one of our core offerings.

The beauty of this industry is that if a customer has a problem, requirement or creative vision, the chances are we’ll be able to deliver. We now have three state of the art wide-format printers that are put to work every day, creating eye-catching and inspiring artwork on media ranging from frosted window film, to digital wallpaper to specialist brick vinyl.

As well as printing and installing our clients’ artwork, we have teamed up with a number of established designers to offer customers a choice of stylish and contemporary designs, recreated on our popular Frostbrite frosted film. The designs are available in cut frost or white print, with both finishes popular in both commercial and residential settings.

The initial collaboration has been with MissPrint, whose designs are also available in leading department stores such as John Lewis, with collections from other established designers currently being prepared for launch.

It’s always a source of great pride for us as a Company to be able to explain to fellow professionals, commercial clients and home-owners the wonderful aesthetic finishes that can be achieved with our range of window films and associated products; many of the people we speak to will readily admit that they weren’t aware of the options open to them, so to be invited to speak at such a prestigious event was an exciting opportunity.
