The Window Film Company has completed a privacy window film installation at St George's Park, the world-class training base of the England Football Team in Staffordshire.
Opened in 2012, the 330-acre facility serves as the coaching headquarters for all 27 England national football teams, and features 14 outdoor pitches, including a full-size replica of the Wembley Stadium pitch. As part of ongoing improvements across the site, The Window Film Company was appointed to provide a privacy window film solution for a number of glazed areas and windows.
Requirement
St George's Park required increased privacy across several windows and glazed doors while maintaining the high-quality appearance expected at one of the world's leading football training facilities.
The solution needed to reduce visibility through the glazing, while also making sure that the finished appearance complemented the contemporary design of the facility in addition to being long lasting, durable and easy to maintain.
Solution
To achieve the required balance of privacy and design, two specialist window films were selected; EVOKE® reeded window film and Frostbrite frosted window film.
EVOKE® reeded window film recreates the desirable, retro-chic appearance of reeded glass. The distinctive fluted effect provides privacy by obscuring views through the glass while allowing light to pass through. The film offers a stylish, contemporary finish and is a cost-effective alternative to replacing existing glazing with reeded glass.
Frostbrite frosted window film was chosen for use elsewhere in the facility. Designed to replicate the appearance of sandblasted or frosted glass, the film effectively obscures views from both sides of the glazing while maintaining a bright and stylish look and feel.
Together, the two products delivered the ideal combination of privacy and aesthetics, delivering the necessary functionality while also enhancing the appearance of the glass and the immediate surroundings.
Installation
The films were installed by a team of The Window Film Company's experienced fitters, with the work carefully planned and carried out efficiently to minimise disruption to the day-to-day operations of what is a busy, high profile location.
Each panel was carefully cut and trimmed on site to ensure a perfect finish on each glazed panel and window.
