The Window Film Company has carried out an installation of heat and glare reduction window film at the exclusive Centurion Club in Hertfordshire.
Centurion Club is a Championship standard golf course that has hosted some of the biggest names in golf and beyond, with the Club playing host to Internationally renowned tournaments and events. The club also boasts a number of dining options, including the stunning garden room.
This popular location boasts floor to ceiling glazing, delivering a stylish appearance as well as providing a view out across the perfectly manicured course for diners. The large expanse of glazing did mean that on occasion, the temperature could rise quickly, while glare could sometimes make it difficult to comfortably focus. There was also a concern about the effects of fading on the furniture inside the restaurant. The Window Film Company was asked to provide a solution.
After consultation between representatives from Centurion Club and The Window Film Company, it was agreed that a combination of two films would be used. High Reflective Silver would be applied to the higher row of panes, with Medium Reflective Silver applied to the glass at a lower level. Both films provide high performance heat and glare reduction, while still allowing for a view out. Both films also provide exception UV protection, blocking up to 99% of the potentially harmful rays.
The film was installed by a team of The Window Film Company's expert fitters, with the work carried out a time designed to lead to minimum disruption to the Club and its members. The film was applied to the internal face of the glass, and was effective immediately; serving to reduce the amount of solar energy that passed through the glass, cutting down on glare and helping to fight fading by also blocking around 99% of UV rays.
All of this was achieved without blocking the stunning view from the inside out, and providing the exterior face with a look that is in keeping with the club's striking, sleek and modern aesthetic.
