This project required an application of manifestation markings to glass partitions and doors throughout a modern office in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
While manifestation markings are required on glazing of a certain size, they do provide an opportunity to deliver other benefits, such as privacy. On this occasion, the client chose to take advantage of this opportunity, by requesting manifestation markings that would meet the necessary legislation, while also delivering partial privacy.
This was achieved with the application of strips of Frostbrite frosted window film, with each strip of varying thickness. With the largest strips positioned centrally, this delivered an element of privacy for those on the other side of the glass, with the thinner strips serving to provide a stylish, decorative flourish.
The film was created to the exact specifications required, by The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics department. Using computer cutting technology, each piece of frosted film was cut to the exact size and thickness required, before being installed to the glass by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters.
Once in place, the frosted film ensured that manifestation marking requirements were met, ensuring that the glass doors and partitions all met the relevant Building Regulations. In addition to this compliance, the markings delivered a decorative upgrade while also providing an element of subtle, partial privacy.
