The Window Film Company has delivered a custom created, fully branded privacy solution, by printing and applying high quality frosted film to glass partitions in an office in London.
Glass partitions are a popular feature in offices, providing a sleek and stylish way to create defined spaces within buildings. These spaces are frequently used as meeting rooms, which can require privacy.
Glazing of this size will also require manifestation markings; Building Regulations dictate that large glass panels have markings applied at specific locations in order to make the glazing immediately visible, preventing potential accidents and damage.
The Window Film Company was approached to deliver a branded solution that would meet both privacy and manifestation requirements.
It was agreed that the most suitable film for the project was Frostbrite frosted window film.
Frostbrite is a long lasting and durable product that will give standard glazing the look and performance of frosted or sandblasted glass; blocking the view from both sides of the pane while also delivering a stylish new look. The film is also perfect for printing onto, allowing The Window Film Company’s design and print team to print custom designs directly onto the film.
For this project, the client required the company name, branding and tagline to feature on the film. The sizes of each panel were provided, including the gaps between each pane, meaning the print team could ensure the design ran perfectly from pane to pane throughout the office space.
The design was then printed onto Frostbrite film before being installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters.
Once in place, the film delivered the requisite privacy, with the film applied to cover two thirds of the panes, with vision possible though the top part of the glazing. This positioning also met that manifestation requirements were met. Manifestation markings are required by Building Regulations to ensure that glass of a certain size is easily visible. These markings need to provide a contrast with the background and need to be present at specific locations on the glass.
The coverage provided by the printed frosted film ensured that all requirements of manifestation legislation were met, while also delivering a stylish, professional and fully customised privacy solution.
