The Window Film Company has completed the application of high performance privacy window film to an office in Oxfordshire.
The office is home to an HR company in Goring-on-Thames, and benefits from a large glazed frontage. These windows are beneficial as they allow excellent levels of natural light to pass through the glass, delivering a bright internal environment. However, the glass facade provided no privacy, and a solution was sought.
After discussions between The Window Film Company and the client, it was agreed that the best product would be External Medium Reflective Silver for one-way daytime privacy.
As with a number of the heat reduction window films supplied and installed by The Window Film Company, Medium Reflective Silver is available in an internal and external version, with the external variant of the film specifically developed to be applied to the outside face of the glass. It was this variant that was selected for this project.
This film delivers by taking on a reflective external appearance during daylight hours; blocking the view in with a mirrored effect, while still allowing for a view out during the daytime.
In addition to delivering a stylish privacy solution, Medium Reflective Silver also delivers a number of additional benefits.
Once in place, the film will help to reduce the amount of excess heat that passes through the glass, helping to avoid overheating during warmer periods of weather. Medium reflective Silver is also an effective glare reduction solution, filtering out the harshest of the sunlight - imagine putting a light pair of sunglasses on glazing.
The film also provides excellent UV protection, serving to block up to 99% of the sun’s potentially harmful UV rays - the biggest single contributing factor to fading.
All of these benefits were effective immediately after the installation, which was completed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers. Once in place, the external face took on a stylish and contemporary reflective appearance, while allowing for a view out from the inside during daylight hours.
