Reeded window film is the perfect way of giving standard glass the appearance of reeded of fluted glazing, delivering a decorative upgrade and an effective privacy solution for windows at home or in the office.
This installation project took place at a commercial premises in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, with EVOKE reeded window film from The Window Film Company identified as the best solution for privacy and for delivering an elevated appearance throughout the building.

Reeded glass has enjoyed a major recent resurgence, with the classic, retro look proving to be continually popular for use on interior doors, glass cabinets, shower screens, windows and glass partitions. While replacing existing glass to get this appearance is expensive and time consuming – an application of reeded window film is the exact opposite; cost-effective and straightforward.
Why is the appearance of reeded or fluted glass so popular?
There are multiple reasons for the popularity of reeded glass, and therefore the use of reeded window film.
Privacy and light. An application of EVOKE reeded window film diffuses light and blurs the view, delivering a versatile privacy solution for commercial and residential settings, while maintaining excellent levels of natural light.

Style and appearance. Reeded window film delivers the elegant look of reeded or fluted glass, originally popular during the Art-Deco period of the 1920s-1930s, when the repeated lines and ridges of fluted glass matched the styles and designs of the day.
Cost-effective and easy to achieve. Reeded window film immediately gives standard glazing the contemporary look of reeded glass, providing privacy and an elevated appearance with a simple installation.
This project required the application film across a number of glass partitions, totalling approximately 10 square metres of glazing. The glass was split up into 28 panes, and the reeded film was installed to each panel by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters, who precision cut and trimmed each piece of film to ensure it was a perfect fit.

Once in place, the film delivered the requisite privacy immediately, the ridged, fluted appearance of the film serving to obscure the view without sacrificing natural light, and also giving the glass the realistic appearance of reeded glass, delivering a stylish new look throughout.
