The Window Company has played a part in an exciting refurbishment project, printing and installing custom graphics for glass, as part of the transformation of an abandoned car dealership in Leicestershire.
The transformation of a disused Saab dealership into Torque Rooms – a custom showroom, workshop and automotive themed community space – is being documented on YouTube and across social media, and has involved extensive work throughout the entirety of the site. This includes the updating of glass within the premises to feature stylish, branded window film graphics from The Window Film Company.
This element of the project saw The Window Film Company engaged to create an install a panel of custom created graphics to a large glass partition in a prominent part of the premises.
The design was supplied by Torque Rooms and included intricate detail and complex elements that were required to be perfectly reproduced at a large scale, delivering an impressive and professional looking feature.
Having received the artwork, The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team took the decision to print the design onto a single piece of window film, using wide format printers to print a highly realistic frosted glass effect onto the film, leaving specific parts of the panel clear to create the desired effect, showcasing the graphics in pin-sharp detail.
The film used was a clear safety window film, meaning that once it was applied, it would upgrade the standard glass that was in place to meet safety standards – delivering safety compliance along with a stunning new look without the need for expensive replacement glass.
The window film was applied to the glazing by a team of The Window Film Company’s specialist film installers, with the size of the panel requiring a team of three to ensure a flawless installation.
Once in place, the glass took on the appearance of a stunning feature, proudly displaying the company logo alongside intricate design elements. By printing the pattern instead of cutting it from frosted film, an option employed to create similar displays, signage and manifestation markings, there were no exposed edges, in turn helping to ensure that the window film would provide a long lasting and durable signage and safety solution, as well as a hugely impactful one.
