GIVING WALLS THE WOW FACTOR

Aug 06 2021

The Window Film Company has completed an eye-catching project at a Hertfordshire office, printing and installing bespoke, full colour wallpaper to a range of surfaces.

As well as creating and applying printed graphics to glass, the Window Film Company offers a host of other decorative solutions for internal surfaces. This project, for a construction company based in Elstree, required the printing of floor to ceiling full colour imagery for application to doors and walls throughout the premises.

The client was able to supply the imagery at a suitably high resolution – the designs were to be reproduced in panels that were 2.5 metres in height so had to be of high quality - leaving The Window Film Company with the task of recreating and installing the stunning imagery on a material that was appropriate for application to numerous internal surfaces.

It was agreed that the best option would be digital wallpaper. Starting life as a plain white material, digital wallpaper is designed to be long lasting and durable, making it perfect for high traffic areas such as corridors, reception areas and doors. The wallpaper can be printed to feature full colour imagery and graphics, with The Window Film Company able to utilise wide format print technology and computer cutting equipment to create precision made printed panels.

For this project, the artwork featured beautiful illustrations of construction projects the client had been involved in, comprising a range of super stylish, detailed and colourful imagery. Using dimensions supplied by the client, The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team printed and cut custom created panels to fit each surface perfectly, before being installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers.

The finished result was stunning, with walls and doors transformed to feature a stylish and professional display.

Elsewhere in the building, The Window Film Company’s fitters installed Frostbrite frosted film; required as a privacy solution. The film works by giving glazing the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glass, blocking the view from both sides of the pane without and sacrificing natural light and providing a pleasing, contemporary aesthetic finish.
