This printed vinyl installation supported the launch of McLaren’s flagship showroom at One Hyde Park, London, providing privacy, glazing protection, and brand presence throughout the fit-out.

Positioned in one of London’s most exclusive retail environments, the project required a solution that would conceal internal works, protect extensive glazing, and reflect the premium identity of the McLaren brand ahead of opening.

Requirement

McLaren required a solution that would:

Solution

An external-grade printable vinyl was specified to deliver privacy, protection, and branding in a single application.

A clean white base film was selected, onto which bespoke McLaren graphics were printed to create a striking yet refined external display aligned with the building’s architecture and brand identity. The installation provided full-time privacy while also signalling the showroom’s forthcoming launch.

The specification, production, and installation were delivered by The Window Film Company, ensuring performance, appearance, and removability were balanced from the outset.

Installation

The project was delivered in carefully managed phases to align with the evolving showroom build.

The initial installation provided immediate privacy and protection for the large-format glazing. The film was later removed to allow specialist access for the installation of a Formula One car within the showroom, with the selected vinyl enabling clean removal without residue.

Following this stage, privacy was again required. Installation teams returned to the site and worked overnight to apply a new set of bespoke printed graphics, allowing the remainder of the fit-out to continue discreetly within a highly visible location.
