BRIGHT SURROUNDINGS FOR BRIGHT STUDENTS

There used to be a time when installing coloured glass was an expensive and time consuming process. Thankfully for this Hertfordshire based school, those days are long gone, so when it was decided that a new part of the school should feature brightly coloured glazing, a call to The Window Film Company was all it took.

An integral part of the design of the impressive new facility at the school was the colour of the glazing. A complementary palette of colours (blue, yellow and grey) had been identified and a solution for incorporating them onto the glass was sought.

The Window Film Company was happy to recommend the “rainbow” range of quality window films. As the name suggests, the collection features a broad spectrum of bright, vivid colours that when applied to the glass immediately transform the appearance to the colour of choice, without blocking the view or natural light.

Samples of the required colours were sent to site, allowing the project managers to apply and observe how the film looks and performs in different locations and at varying times of day. Pleased with what they saw, the project was given the green light.

The installation took place on a date agreed between the school and The Window Film Company’s dedicated operations team, with the timings agreed to ensure the minimum of fuss and impact to the ongoing fit-out work. The film was cut on site by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced fitting teams, who took the time to ensure each of the 21 panels was the correct size and was installed perfectly.

With the installation complete, the room immediately took on a stylish, memorable and welcoming appearance, the vibrant colours giving the space an exciting and inspiring ambience, with light allowed to flood the room.
