BACK TO SCHOOL FOR THE WINDOW FILM COMPANY

Jan 20 2012

The well renowned school in Northwood, Hertfordshire was undertaking a large scale project to bring their glazing up to stringent safety standards. To achieve this, The Window Film Company undertook a thorough site survey, carefully inspecting each window and assessing requirements on a pane by pane basis.

Having presented the school with our report, findings and recommendations we were engaged to carry out the job during January. The size and scope of the job meant it required careful planning and ultimately took a little over two weeks to complete.

The film fitted was 100 Micron safety film; an optically clear film which will upgrade existing glass to meet the requirements of BS 6206 Class B and BS EN 12600 Class 2B2. This film creates an invisible barrier, reducing the risk of breaking in the event of any impact and holding glass fragments in place should breakage occur.

The Window Film Company is able to help make your glass safe whether you have 4 windows or 400 like Merchant Taylor’s. Our team of experts are available to talk you through the legislation surrounding making glass safe in commercial and retail environments, whilst also providing advice should you wish to strengthen your windows at home.
