THE WINDOW FILM COMPANY HELPS PUT MCLAREN IN POLE POSITION

Mar 19 2012

The showroom is home to McLaren’s new supercar, the MP4-12C and is based at one of London’s most exclusive addresses; One Hyde Park. The Window Film Company was brought in to print and install film to protect the high spec glazing and to also achieve privacy - allowing the finishing touches to be put to the premises away from the gaze of motor sport enthusiasts keen for an early glimpse.

The window film chosen for the job was a brilliant white digital vinyl, onto which The Window Film Company printed bespoke McLaren graphics. The result was a striking window display, perfectly in keeping with the sleek dynamic design of the building whilst also achieving the functional requirements of glass protection and privacy.

Phase two of the job involved the removal of the film a few weeks later; part of the process that saw an authentic McLaren Formula One car winched into the showroom and mounted on the showroom wall. The careful selection of window film meant it could be removed quickly and efficiently, without leaving any residue or marks on the high quality glazing. With the iconic car in place, our installation team worked through the night to fit a new set of film, again featuring bespoke graphics, allowing the fit-out process to be completed.
