WINDOW FILM COMPANY THE ONE STOP SHOP FOR TOP DEPARTMENT STORE

Sep 11 2013

Department stores have been making lives easier for customers by providing a variety of products under one roof for centuries, but when a well-known store came to us with a range of requirements as part of an extensive refurbishment project, they discovered that they too were all available in one place; The Window Film Company.

As the project involved a range of different products and applications, it was agreed that a site visit should place ahead of providing a quote. Having met with representatives, and ensured a full understanding of the brief, the suitable options were discussed and agreed upon.

Window film and associated products can be used in many situations, including decoration. Digital wallpaper is an increasingly popular choice
for decorating walls and doors, with the opportunity to create bespoke wallpaper that can be applied to almost any flat surface inspiring creativity in workplaces up and down the country.

This job required the reproduction of a number of eye-catching images and photographs, and it was apparent that digital wallpaper would be the ideal choice. Using state of the art printing equipment, The Window Film Company were able to print the images in full colour on a large scale, ready for application to a number of walls throughout the building. The result is an eye-catching and unique display, with images recreated in full colour and perfect detail throughout the premises.

Whilst decoration is important to any building, legislative requirements are vital. Health and safety regulations dictate that glass in critical locations should be made visible. This is done by using glass manifestation, another product in which The Window Film Company specialises. The legislation clearly dictates where manifestation is necessary, but it does not require that it takes on a particular appearance. This allows the creation of bespoke manifestation, making a design feature out of a regulatory requirement.

In this instance it was decided that the company logo should form the manifestation. The Window Film Company was able to computer cut the logo out of frosted film, the acid etched appearance of the film providing the necessary contrast with the glass. Once applied the manifestation helped to reinforce the branding that was so important to the overall re-design, whilst also meeting glazing regulations.

Clear signage is important for large buildings, with effective way-finding signs welcomed by visitors and staff alike. This refurbishment saw
the office split into zones, with each zone denoted by a different colour. To help identify each zone, it was decided that some sort of signage should be placed on the numerous pillars that formed the structure of the building. Coloured vinyl is a durable film, that can be computer cut to any specification and the vivid range of colours that it is available in make it the ideal signage solution.

Again, the logo was used as the design and was computer cut in a range of different colours, with each colour corresponding to a particular zone. The vinyl was applied throughout the building providing those in the building with a quickly and easily identifiable method of working out where they are.

The Window Film Company views each and every job as a collaborative project, with members of staff working closely with clients at every stage of the process to make sure that the end result surpasses expectations. With experienced account managers available to answer questions and provide quotes, a dedicated graphics and print team to work on designs, an operations team to focus on logistics and teams of qualified fitters carrying out installations at locations throughout the Country, The Window Film Company is in a position to continually provide the best service possible, with a huge range of products and services available under one roof.
