Solar control film will deliver almost immediately reduced levels of heat whilst also allowing a view to the outside. This makes heat control window film suitable for both commercial and residential purposes, giving the external face a sleek, stylish and modern appearance whilst allowing good levels of natural light to pass through the glass.

The versatile nature of solar control film makes it popular in a variety of situations and with a number of different grades and finishes available, it’s possible to deliver exactly the right solution for each individual situation.

The Window Film Company was contacted by a customer who has a home office. The workspace benefitted from incredible views to the exterior, but was subjected to unpleasant levels of heat. One of the most effective and popular ranges of solar control films are the reflective silver films, and samples of the three available products were sent to the client. The working samples were applied to the glass, allowing the customer to experience the appearance and performance of each film first hand.

Following these investigations, the client chose Medium Reflective Silver. This particular film is highly effective, rejecting up to 67% of solar energy, reducing glare by up to 65% and filtering out 99% of the sun’s harmful rays, whilst the appearance is slightly less reflective, providing high levels of performance with a reduced impact on appearance.

The film was installed by one of The Window Film Company’s teams of fully qualified and vastly experienced fitting teams, who were able to provide a flawless finish in an efficient fashion, ensuring the minimum of disruption at the premises.

As the pictures illustrate, the finished installation sees the windows given a professional yet stylish exterior appearance with the fantastic views still clearly visible from the inside. The client can now enjoy comfortable temperatures, reduced glare as well as excellent protection against fading whilst also enjoying the magnificent views that the windows afford him.
