GETTING TO GRIPS WITH MANIFESTATION

Apr 24 2015

Whilst it is a legal necessity for glass of a certain size, the need for manifestation also provides an opportunity for adding a creative and stylish extra dimension to glazing.

Roadgrip are road treatment and marking specialists, operating throughout the world adding markings and surface treatments  to public highways, airports, sports arenas and race tracks across the globe. Their large Bedfordshire office features floor to ceiling glazing and glass partitions throughout and as such had a requirement for manifestation. After consulting with The Window Film Company, it was agreed that a band of Frostbrite frosted film would be applied to just under 50 linear metres of glass.

The Frostbrite brand of film continues to be a popular choice for manifestation as it delivers a stylish, contemporary appearance whilst meeting the visibility requirements of manifestation legislation. It is long lasting and durable and can also be computer cut to achieve intricate patterns and designs. One of the other benefits of this versatile film is that it provides an excellent surface for printing onto. This allows for the creation of large scale, full colour graphics that can be applied to glazing to provide an eye-catching, professional looking  feature. In addition to the installation of manifestation, Roadgrip decided to take the opportunity to have full colour graphics, printed on Frostbrite, fitted to a large glass partition.

The artwork was provided in a vector format and The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team were able to create a number of printed proofs, demonstrating to the client exactly how the graphics would look when printed onto the Frostbrite frosted film. With the proof approved, the design was printed onto four large panels, each  just over 2.6 metres in height. To ensure the best possible finish, the graphics were printed using one of The Window Film Company’s UV printers, the combination of high quality ink, print machinery and film meaning a sharp, crystal clear reproduction of the supplied graphics.

The graphics and manifestation were then installed at the Leighton Buzzard based premises by one of The Window Film Company’s fully trained and vastly experienced fitting teams. The manifestation ensured that all appropriate legislation was met in a smart and stylish fashion, whilst the introduction of the floor to ceiling graphics created an eye-catching and impressive looking feature of one of the glass partitions, highlighting the company’s brand and professionalism.

In talking of the installation, Roadgrip Director Andy Morley said: “We’re delighted with the work that The Window Film Company has carried out for us. Everything was dealt with quickly, efficiently and professionally, whilst the finished installation looks absolutely fantastic. The graphics are a welcome addition to the office, serving to showcase our brand whilst also improving the overall look and feel of the premises
