The Window Film Company was approached by the owners of a Kent based office, who wanted to add branding to the glass partitions that formed several meeting rooms in the premises. There were three main reasons for the addition of graphics; to showcase the company brand and to improve the look of the office, to provide an element of privacy for those using the meeting rooms and finally, to meet manifestation requirements.

Manifestation is required on glass of a certain size, primarily to make the glazing visible. By placing regularly spaced markings on glass such as partitions, it makes the glass easier to see, preventing possible accidents. Whilst legislation dictates the minimum locations, the regulations don’t restrict how the markings should appear – making it a fabulous opportunity for getting creative.

Having had sight of the proposed artwork, supplied in a vector format by the client, The Window Film Company suggested that the most suitable solution would be printed Frostbrite film. Frostbrite is a high quality frosted window film that once applied, gives glazing the appearance of sandblasted or acid etched glass, in turn providing privacy.

As well as delivering the necessary visual contrast to be used as manifestation, the film also provides the ideal surface for printing in full colour, allowing The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics team to print the supplied graphics with bright, vivid and stylish results.

The film was installed throughout the office by one of The Window Film Company’s fully trained, highly skilled and experienced fitting teams, with the applied film giving the office an immediately improved and professional look. The printed graphics complimented the modern look and feel of the glass partitions, with the branded elements providing an impressive flourish. As well as the aesthetic quality, the printed bands of film were applied at the appropriate size and location to meet manifestation requirements whilst also providing privacy – without completely blocking the view.
