Bespoke printed graphics from The Window Film Company provide a contemporary and professional looking addition to glass. Whether the graphics are for branding purposes, meeting signage requirements or simply adding a decorative element to premises, the end results can be spectacular.

The beauty of graphics is that there is no limit to what can be achieved. A simple logo or an intricate reproduction of a painting or photograph – all that is required is imagination and vision. Sometimes the imagery or theme is an obvious choice and that was the case for The Book People. The company does exactly what the name suggests, supplying affordable books via their online store. Therefore, when the company decided to add graphics to the glass partitions in their Guildford based office, a stylish book based design was inevitable.

The eye-catching design was created to cover three quarters of each partition, ensuring that as well as adding a personalised touch to the glass, the graphics served to meet manifestation requirements. The design featured numerous shelves, each stocked with books of different shapes and sizes, with each panel featuring a specific colour.

To deliver the perfect finish, each panel was created using optically clear film, meaning that once applied, the only element that would be visible would be the printed area of the film. This allows for the accurate representation of intricate and detailed designs without the need for cutting, an added benefit being that the graphics don’t have exposed edges. This in turn means that the installed graphics should have as long a useful life as possible, as with no edges the risk of accidental damage is reduced.

Each panel was printed by the Window Film Company’s in house graphics and print department using state of the art print technology before being finished by hand and double checked for quality. Twelve areas were to be filmed, with many of the areas split into multiple panes. This meant that care and attention had to be taken when setting up and printing the graphics, to ensure that the design flowed, incorporating the small gaps and divides between each panel.

With the print process complete, the panels were installed by one of The Window Film Company’s experienced fitting teams. The finished project gave the premises a bright, welcoming and professional aura, with the different coloured graphics providing a means of differentiating between rooms whilst also ensuring the core business of the company was graphically represented.
