CHOOSING COLOUR

The Window Film Company was contacted by a school in Middlesex, where staff were in search of a way of adding a colourful new look to the front of the building. The idea was to add solid blocks of colour to several columns of glass, serving to make the front of the school look, friendly, fun and welcoming, while also delivering an element of privacy.

As with all projects, the job was assigned to a dedicated Account Manager, who having understood the brief and the type of glass involved, was able to recommend the use of coloured vinyl for the project.

Available in a range of vivid colours, solid vinyl is perfect for delivering a full-time privacy solution, blocking the view completely from both sides of the glass, while also delivering a striking and stylish new look. The film is tough, durable and long lasting, an important consideration for this project as the film had to be applied to the external face of the glass.

Once in place, coloured vinyl will give the glass the appearance of a solid block of colour, serving to block the view from both sides of the glass; the solid nature of the film means that it also prevents light passing through, so it really is perfect for day and night-time privacy.

The project team at the school chose four colours from the wide range available (you can explore the full collection of coloured vinyls here) and a date was agreed for the installation to take place. For each project, all logistics, including the installation date and any access requirements, are handled by The Window Film Company’s dedicated operations team. On this occasion, an installation date was agreed outside term time, to ensure that the window film installation could take place with the minimum of fuss and disruption.

The fitting was completed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installers, providing a perfect installation to the required panels, leaving the glazing transformed into bright, vivid, fun and eye-catching blocks of colour.
