BESPOKE BAND MANIFESTATION

The Window Film Company has completed the print and installation of stunning, bespoke manifestation markings for a large office space in Greater London.

Manifestation markings are required by building regulations and are necessary on large panes of glass, usually glass doors or partitions, and are required to ensure that the glass is easily visible. Markings need to be at specific locations at the glass (for more information on the exact requirements, please visit our dedicated manifestation legislation page here) and also need to be of a minimum size, but as long as these two stipulations are met (size and location) the markings can take on any appearance.

This means that while manifestation markings are a legislative requirement, they also provide an opportunity to add a stylish new look to glass, with The Window Film Company able to create manifestation markings that range from simple dots, squares or bands, to custom created logos, graphics, text or imagery.

For this project, the desired effect was a multi-coloured band, with colours graduating and blending into each other, creating a unique, bright and professional looking manifestation feature.

The Window Film Company’s in-house print and design team worked closely with the client, creating samples and experimenting with different colour opacities to ensure that the finished film was exactly as envisioned, before printing the film for installation. Over 80 linear metres were printed, using state of the art print equipment to ensure a perfect reproduction of the agreed design and colours.

The installation required the stripping of existing film before the new manifestation could be fitted, with both processes undertaken by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified and vastly experienced installation technicians; with the work undertaken at a time organised between the client and The Window Film Company’s operations team to ensure the minimum of disruption in what is a busy office.

The completed project saw manifestation requirements met in a stylish way, with the film providing a splash of colour and a finish in keeping with the contemporary look of the modern office.
