ADD UV PROTECTION WITH AMBER 81

Amber 81 has been specially developed to block high levels of UV light. This makes it the ideal film for use in locations such as hospital operating theatres, clean rooms and other facilities or locations that require extreme UV light blockage.



The film has been increasingly popular, with The Window Film Company undertaking installations throughout the country. Projects involving Amber 81 often involve sensitive locations, meaning careful advance planning – the remit of The Window Film Company’s dedicated Operations Team. The role of this department is to not only ensure that installs take place at a time and date suitable for the client, but also to make sure that any logistical requirements are met, ensuring an efficient installation that results in the minimum of disruption on site.



Amber 81 is, as the name suggests, amber in appearance, and while it allows light to pass through the glass – it won’t create an unnecessarily dark internal environment – but it will block UV rays into the low visible light range, up to 500nm. It effectively serves as a UV filtration system, allowing light to pass through while blocking dangerous wavelengths. This also means that the film is suitable for assisting individuals with sunlight sensitivity issues.
