Glare can be a year-round problem, especially from premises with large windows or expanses of glass. An application of window film from The Window Film Company will help to alleviate the unwanted and uncomfortable effects of glare.

It was an external grade film that was required at this large Porsche centre in Tonbridge, where a sleek and stylish expanse of glass at the front of the dealership was resulting in problematic levels of glare.

An external application was sought due to the internal configuration of the premises – getting to the inside of the glass wasn’t possible. With this in mind, The Window Film Company was able to offer a solution in the form of CH8 window film; a high performance, external grade film that delivers excellent levels of glare reduction. The film is perfect for uses such as a car showroom as it reduces glare without sacrificing high levels of natural light, instead filtering out the harshest of the sunlight to deliver a more enjoyable internal environment for staff and visitors.

With the film choice agreed, The Window Film Company’s operations team dealt with the logistical challenges of the installation, which included organising access equipment. The front of the premises featured a revolving door, which protruded from the front of the building, in turn meaning that standard scaffolding wouldn’t be suitable for reaching the higher up panes. The team made a plan utlising two separate towers which in turn allowed The Window Film Company’s fitters to safely and comfortable reach all the necessary panes.

Once in place, the film was effective immediately, delivering a sleek and stylish external appearance that was in keeping with the contemporary look of the building, while providing instant relief from glare.
