Frostbrite frosted window film from The Window Film Company is a stylish and cost-effective way of achieving privacy, meeting manifestation regulations and adding a decorative element to glass, with this installation a perfect example of how a single application can deliver all three benefits.

Frostbrite is the The Window Film Company’s high performance frosted window film, designed to give glazing the appearance of frosted or acid-etched glass, in turn serving to deliver privacy – blocking the view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing natural light. The film also provides the ideal surface on which to print, allowing for the creation of custom-made displays, opening up the possibility of incorporating branding, text, patterns or even full colour imagery onto glass.

Frosted window film also provides the perfect way of meeting manifestation regulations. These rules are in place to ensure that glass of a particular size (usually glass partitions or doors) is easily distinguishable, in turn avoiding potential accidents. Manifestation markings must be of a minimum size and be present in specific locations. The markings must also provide a contrast with the background, with the effect provided by frosted window film serving to do exactly that.

This project was designed to meet all three requirements, with a band of Frotbrite window film applied across a number of glass partitions and doors, meeting manifestation legislation while also providing an element of privacy. The film was also printed with a repeated logo to give the film a bespoke, stylish finish.

The client supplied the logo artwork, allowing The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team to recreate the design using state of the art print technology, before each panel was computer cut to the exact sizes required. The film was then applied by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified installers.

The end product was a professional and smart finish, with the glass transformed to meet manifestation requirements, while also delivering privacy.
