AVOIDING REPLACEMENT GLASS WITH GRAPHICS

The Window Film Company offers a range of window film solutions for a whole host of situations. These include custom created graphics, printed and cut using state of the art equipment in our in-house print and graphics facility.

This project saw a requirement for a solution that would give two replacement panes of plain glass the same appearance as a bank of existing, etched glass. The replacements were required after two of the original panes were broken, and the costs of replacing them with patterned, etched glass proved prohibitive.



Here at The Window Film Company, we had just the solution.

Using the design and dimensions of the patterns on the existing glass, The Window Film Company’s design team were able to recreate the design at the exact size and style, before printing it onto optically clear film. By using this type of film, only the printed parts of the surface would be visible when applied to the glass, serving to provide the exact same appearance of the other etched panes, delivering a perfect replication, with the pattern flowing seamlessly across the glass.



The film was printed and then cut using state of the art computer cutting machinery, before being installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s experienced fitting teams, carefully applying the two large pieces of film to the two clear panels. Once in place, the new panes took on the exact appearance of the rest of the patterned glass - with the design serving to deliver an element of privacy.
