MANIFESTATION MARKINGS AND SIGNAGE WITH STYLE

Building regulations require that glass of a certain size (usually floor to ceiling glazing such as glass doors and partitions) feature manifestation markings. These markings are designed to ensure that the glass is easily visible and The Window Film Company are experts in their creation, supply and installation.

The regulations dictate that the markings must be at specific locations on the glass, must be of a minimum size and must provide a contrast with the background in order to be easily and immediately visible. As long as these minimum requirements are met, manifestation markings provide an opportunity for adding a range of stylish new features to glass, ranging from graphics, branding and text to partial privacy solutions.

This project necessitated the creation of a solution that would meet manifestation in a sleek and stylish way, while also delivering an element of privacy for a number of glass partitions and meeting room doors. It was also a requirement that each room name was incorporated into the manifestation.

It was agreed that the manifestation would be created from Frostbrite frosted window film. This is a popular product for manifestation as it provides the requisite contrast between the glass and the background, as well as delivering a smart, professional finish.

This project required manifestation across 15 linear metres of glass, with the design comprising a solid band of frostbrite frosted film, with strips of Frostbrite above and below the main band, with the strips decreasing in size as they get further from the central strip. The main band also featured the name of the meeting room, with the name cut from the frosted film to deliver a clear, stylish sign.

The bespoke design was created by The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team, using state of the art computer cutting equipment to perfectly create the graphics ahead of installation by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified fitters.

Once in place, the custom made design met manifestation requirements by immediately making the glass visible, provided an element of privacy for those using the meeting rooms, added signage to each room, making each area easily identifiable, while also delivering a professional and impressive look for the glass.
