This project required a coloured window film, for application to a number of glass balustrades on the stairwell of a modern office building. The office had been decorated in an ultra-modern and highly stylized way, and the window film for the glass had to match a specific shade of green in order to be in keeping with the carefully designed décor.

With the desired shade of green not a standard colour, it was agreed that the best course of action would be for The Window Film Company’s dedicated print team to recreate the exact colour required. Using colour references and a period of testing with different opacities, the perfect finish was attained, with the colour then printed directly onto Frostbrite frosted window film.

Frostbrite is The Window Film Company’s hugely popular frosted window film; a product that serves to give glass the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glazing. It is long lasting and durable, making it suitable for use in high traffic areas such as stairways and corridors, and is always a superb surface on which to print.

Each panel was printed, transforming a standard frosted window film into a custom green colour, before being installed to the balustrades by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters.

Once in place, the glass was transformed to the exact green colour desired, ensuring that the glass was perfectly in keeping with the rest of the stylish decor in that part of the office.
