Conservatories overheating during summer is a common complaint. The nature of the structure, with a glass or polycarbonate roof and large side windows, means they are almost certain to get too hot during warm spells of weather. An application of heat reduction window film from The Window Film Company will help deliver more manageable temperatures, cut down on glare and will also block potentially harmful UV rays.
This particular installation took place at a residential property in Berkshire. The stylish and conservatory provided a perfect space for the home-owners, but during warmer weather, heat would stream through the untreated glass roof and quickly make the space almost unusable. The Window Film Company were engaged to provide a solution.
Conservatory heat reduction window film works on a simple but effective premise. During daylight hours, the film takes on a reflective external appearance, with this mirrored effect serving to bounce away a percentage of the sun’s solar energy (heat) before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature.
An application of heat reduction window film to your conservatory won’t make it feel unnecessarily cold – the film filters out a percentage of the excess heat, it doesn’t block it entirely, and also allows for a daytime view from the inside out. The film will also ensure that decent levels of natural light can pass though, meaning that on a nice bright day, it will still feel bright inside.
Once in place, the film will also deliver addition benefits. Glare (a year round problem) is reduced, while up to 99% of potentially harmful UV rays are prevented from passing through and into your conservatory. By blocking the majority of UV rays, the effects of fading are reduced and slowed down.
The film was installed to the internal side of the glass (this delivers a more prolonged functional life, but external grade films are available for when access to the inside of the glass isn’t possible) by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters, delivering an immediately effective, long lasting and cost-efficient heat reduction solution.
