CUSTOM COLOUR PRINTED PRIVACY

The Window Film Company supplies a range of privacy solutions for glass, ranging from standard films like Frosted window film (delivers privacy by giving standard glass the appearance of frosted glazing) to custom created, fully bespoke window films; printed and cut to take on the appearance required.

On this occasion, a privacy solution was required to block the view of an unused void in the building. After discussions about what would work and look best, it was agreed that a solid vinyl window film would be the most appropriate and effective solution.

The location of the panels meant that internal access wasn’t possible, so the film would have to be applied to the outside of the glass. This meant that any window film would have to be hard wearing and long lasting. The client also had a very clear idea as to the colour they wanted the window film to have, so any solution would have to be printable to ensure it was an exact match.

Solid vinyl film  fits the bill in this regard – long lasting, durable and an ideal surface on which to print, while also delivering a highly effective privacy solution – blocking the view from both sides of the glazing.

This was a sizeable project, with over 30 square metres of glazing needing the custom film applied. This equated to 48 individual panels, each of which were printed to take on the exact colour required by the client (a stylish anthracite grey) and cut to size by The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team.

The panels were then installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s experienced fitters, using powered access equipment to access the external face of the glazing and to complete the installation. Once in place, the film was effective immediately, blocking the view while also giving the external façade of the building a stylish new look.
