FROSTED SKYLINE MAKES MAGNIFICENT MANIFESTATION

The Window Film Company use state of the art printing technology and computer cutting equipment to create custom made graphics for glass. These can be used in a wide range of situations, including branding, signage, privacy, decoration or manifestation.

This project involved a requirement for manifestation markings at a London office space.

Manifestation markings are required by Building Regulations on glass of a certain size and type; typically, large expanses of glazing such as glass doors or partitions. The reason for their application is to make sure that glass is easily visible; in turn avoiding potentially nasty accidents.

To ensure that the markings make glass visible, they are required at certain points on the glass, must be a minimum size and must provide a clear contrast with the background. Taking into consideration these requirements, The Window Film Company’s Frostbrite frosted window film is the perfect material for creating manifestation markings – and was therefore chosen for use in this project.

Once applied to glass, Frostbrite window film gives glazing the appearance of frosted or acid-etched windows; a stylish and contemporary look that is also suitable for delivering privacy – the film blocks the view from both sides of the glass. Frostbrite can also be printed on, and crucially for this project, can also be computer cut.

On this occasion, a graphic detailing the outline of the iconic London skyline was the end product, with the intricate design computer cut by The Window Film Company’s in-house print and graphics team. The end product was a stylish, unique and custom created graphic, created from Frostbrite frosted film to run across a glass partition.

The film was installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert installers, with the graphic immediately serving to meet manifestation requirements, while also giving the space a stylish, eye-catching new feature.
