During daylight hours, the external face of the film takes on a reflective appearance which serves to bounce away a percentage of the sun’s heat before it can pass through the glass and add to the internal temperature.

By reflecting away a percentage of the heat, window film slows down the build up of heat, helping to make sure that the internal temperature stays at a manageable level for longer, without resorting to costly solutions such as air conditioning, or more traditional methods such as drawing curtains and blinds.

Historically, during warmer weather, it may have been tempting to shut curtains or blinds to try and manage excess heat. Window film is far more effective – it doesn’t allow heat to pass through the glass and into the property while blinds and curtains do. Window film also has another significant benefit over curtains or blinds – it doesn’t block the view during daylight hours.
