GLASS PROTECTION FOR PAUL SMITH

Oct 03 2025

Unlawful graffiti can take many forms, but regardless of the type, graffiti can be expensive and time-consuming to clean or fix. In extreme cases, the impacted surface may even have to be replaced. An application of anti-graffiti window film from The Window Film Company can help protect against this damage, and guard against the need for expensive replacement materials.

Anti-graffiti window film from The Window Film Company works in two ways. Firstly, it has a specially developed coating that means paint and other markings can be removed using standard cleaning products, allowing the appearance of the glass to quickly and efficiently be returned to its original state and appearance.

In the event of graffiti or damage that can be cleaned or removed, such as scouring or acid etching, the film provides a sacrificial barrier – protecting the glass form damage. In this instance, the film can be removed and replaced – avoiding the need for the costly and time consuming need to replace glass.

The film is invisible once applied, meaning it provides the perfect anti-graffiti solutions for windows, and in this case, display cases.

The Window Film Company were engaged to replace anti-graffiti film that had reached the end of its optimal life at a London branch of world famous designer clothes outfitter Paul Smith.

The existing film was removed from a total of 8 glass panels in the store, before being replaced with a fresh application of anti-graffiti film by a team of The Window Film Company’s expert fitters. In this instance, the film provided ongoing protection from accidental damage and wear and tear.

Once in place, the film was undetectable to the naked eye, delivering an invisible layer of protection for the expensive glazed units, without altering their appearance.
