WORLD FAMOUS VENUE GETS FROSTBRITE FITTING

Frosted window film is a cost effective and stylish way of transforming standard glazing to take on the appearance of frosted glass, in turn delivering a contemporary and elegant privacy solution, as evidenced by this installation at the O2 Arena in London.

The Window Film Company supplies and installs Frostbrite frosted film throughout the UK, with the film chosen for use in a range of locations to provide a solution for a range of situations. The durable, long lasting and versatile nature of the film means it can be used for a number of purposes, including signage, branding, manifestation, decoration, and privacy.

In its untreated form, Frostbrite frosted window film will give glazing the appearance of frosted glass. This prevents a view from both sides of the glass without sacrificing high levels of natural light. Crucially, this is all achieved by giving the glass a stylish and desirable frosted appearance, suited to any setting.

Frostbrite is also often used for manifestation markings. These are required for glass of a certain size – usually glass partitions or doors – and are necessary to ensure that these glazed panels are immediately and easily visible to the naked eye. Building regulations dictate that manifestation markings should be present at specific locations on the glass and should provide an easily identifiable contrast with the background. Frostbrite frosted film is the perfect product to meet these requirements, not only because it provides the necessary contrast when applied, but also because it can be cut or printed onto to deliver custom manifestation markings.

The fact that Frostbrite can be cut and printed also means that it is a popular choice for creating signage, branding elements, or decorative upgrades. By using wide format printers and state of the art computer cutting equipment, The Window Film Company’s print and graphics team are able to create full colour graphics for application to glass, created to the exact size and appearance specifications required.

This project, an installation of Frostbrite frosted window film to glass partitions in the office area of the world famous O2 Arena, was necessary to meet both privacy and manifestation requirements. It was agreed that plain panels of Frostbrite would be applied to the relevant panels, covering approximately two thirds of the glass. This served to deliver on both requirements, with a stylish, professional and aesthetically pleasing finish.

The film was installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fitters, with the film effective immediately – providing privacy and meeting manifestation requirements, while also giving the glass a new and stylish appearance.
