Installation of Decorative film frosted glass patterns.

Whichever type of Frostbrite frosted film you decide to purchase, the film is easy to apply and overall the installation process is straightforward and can be completed with no prior experience. The first step is to ensure your glass is as clean as possible. Ensuring your glazing is free of dirt or debris will ensure a smooth bond between the glass and film, delivering a long lasting and aesthetically pleasing finish.

Once the glass is clean, lay your window film on a clean flat surface with the protective backing lining film sheet facing up. Now you need to remove the backing sheet from the film, this is most easily done if you attach a piece of sticky tape to either side of the film and the sheet, and pulling the two apart. Once the edge is lifted then slowly remove the clear lining backing sheet in a steady motion to avoid any damage. The removed backing sheet can be disposed of / recycled.

Next, use a plant spray bottle to cover the exposed side of the film with a soapy water solution. You can create this solution by adding a few drops of washing up liquid to water. Once the film is covered in the water solution, repeat the process with the window, covering the entire glass surface, ensuring the entirety of the pane is covered with the soapy water. Then, take the film close to the glass and allow it to flow onto your window. The soapy water will act as a slip solution, allowing you to slide the film into place. Then, use the squeegee (provided with each online order) to push the water to the edge of the pane, where it can be dried with a clean cloth or paper towel.

The Window Film Company policy is to despatch all window film orders received before 1 pm on the same working day. Wherever possible, orders placed after this time will also be despatched the same day, but due to courier deadlines, this cannot be guaranteed.
