Window film can deliver safety and security in a number of different ways. Depending on the situation, security could mean privacy; shielding the inside of your premises from would be criminals. This could be achieved by applying frosted window film to your glass, blocking the view from both sides of the glazing. Specialist window film is also available to protect against a more specific threat, including bomb-blast film and retention systems.
Glass that meets safety standards is a legislative requirement for glass of a certain size in certain locations and an application of window film can be retrofitted to achieve this standard. Safety film isn’t designed to stop glass breaking, although it will add a protective layer. The primary purpose of a safety product is to ensure that if the glass does break, it does so safely. This is achieved by holding the broken pieces of glass together in the frame, preventing them from falling in on themselves and causing subsequent damage and harm.
You will note there are a range of films for a variety of purposes and The Window Film Company is vastly experienced in each area. Please contact us if you would like more information or advice on meeting safety standards or increasing the security level at your premises.
Whatever the solution required, your film doesn’t have to just be functional. Using state of the art print technology, The Window Film Company can print directly onto the majority of films, providing an opportunity to add an extra element of bespoke style, branding imagery or signage. If you’re looking for a solution for a shopfront, why not have eye-catching graphics or store opening times included? If you’re bringing your glass partitions up to safety standard, why not also add some branding elements or ensure you meet manifestation requirements?
In short, safety and security films serve a vitally important function, but with a bit of planning and a touch of creativity they can also deliver so much more. Contact us to find out more.
