13th Solar Control Window Film Shopfront Installation

As a business, we’re always appreciative of repeat custom; apart from anything else it illustrates that we’re getting things right, so we were delighted to recently complete a thirteenth solar control installation for a chain of well known pet stores.

Solar control can be a challenging issue for retail outlets. Excess heat can cause a number of issues; making it uncomfortable for staff and visitors as well as the risk of heat or fade damage to valuable stock. The challenge is to find a solution that can deliver the necessary protection against excess heat without blocking the view into the store – a vital consideration for shop owners.

For this chain of stores, The Window Film Company was able to offer and install Climate 70 window film. A specially developed solar control window film that has been created to deliver excellent solar control performance with a more neutral external appearance.

By using this film, up to 45% of solar energy is rejected, with the added benefit of a 20% reduction in glare and a 99% reduction in potentially harmful UV rays – all achieved without blocking the view into or out of the store windows.

On each occasion, the window film was installed by a team of The Window Film Company’s fully qualified window film fitters, with the work taking place at a time agreed in advance and the project completed with the minimum of fuss.

Window film is designed to be retro-fitted, so if you or a client is experiencing solar control issues, then it’s never too late to act – our products are created specifically for us on existing glazing. Fitting usually takes place to the internal side of the glass as this delivers a longer functional life, but there are external grades of solar control film available if an internal install isn’t possible.
