A United Display

After printing and installing graphics at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium last season, here at The Window Film Company we were delighted to be asked to provide and install updated designs, featuring the new kit and members of the playing staff.

The project required the replacement of a run of graphics throughout the tunnel area at the stadium, as well as the corridor featuring the manager’s office –the nerve centre of the stadium. The work was required ahead of a fixture that had been chosen for broadcast by Sky Sports; the club were understandably keen to ensure that the stadium looked as good as possible in front of a large TV audience.

The two metre high panels were lightweight but solid and durable and printed on one of The Window Film Company’s state of the art wide format printers. Each panel featured striking imagery, created specifically for this project, with action shots of the playing staff set against a stylish black background.

The previous boards were carefully removed by a team of The Window Film Company’s trained and experienced installers, taking care with each panel – many of which were being retained and repurposed by the club. The new panels were installed in chronological order, starting with an entrance corridor, before completing the work on either side of the tunnel area.

The graphics give the area an incredible sense of definition and ownership, providing a powerful and inspirational environment for the Oxford staff and a potentially intimidating one for visiting clubs.

The graphics at Oxford United made an immediate impact, with the work clearly visible during Sky’s coverage of their home game with AFC Wimbledon, helping to ensure that the watching public were left with a positive impression of the club’s facilities.
