You are probably aware that glazing of a certain size and height requires manifestation; markings that ensure the glass is clearly visible, preventing potentially unpleasant accidents. These markings are required to ensure building standards are met, so it’s important they are in place. If you are unsure as to whether your glass requires manifestation, consult our online guide. Solar and sight

It’s far from warm at the moment, but before you know it you’ll be sat at your desk wondering if it’s OK to crank the air conditioning up another notch. It’s a fact of life that where there is untreated glass, there will be solar gain and during the warmer months of the year, it doesn’t take much to make a room uncomfortably warm. Well, it doesn’t have to be like that. The Window Film Company supply and install a range of high performance solar control films that will prevent the steady build-up of heat, ensure a moderate temperature and prevent you or your colleagues from reaching for the air conditioning on switch.

Our solar control film delivers additional benefits, too. Once applied, film will cut down on glare, which can be a year round problem. Left unchecked, sunlight can stream into premises making it hard to focus on screens or colleagues without straining your eyes. This can be remedied with window film, cutting out the harshest light without impacting on the view or making it dark.

Window film will also block a large percentage of the sun’s harmful UV rays – a primary cause of fading. By applying film to your glass it is possible to protect fixtures and fittings, furniture and equipment from fading; the film serving to slow down the potentially costly fading process.
