The summer sun is a welcome sight, but for those operating indoors it can make life difficult. Bright light can stream through glazing making it an uncomfortable environment in which to live or work. A traditional response may have been to draw blinds or pull curtains, but who wants a dark office or to block the view on a glorious summer day?
So what’s the answer? We’re glad you asked…
Glare reduction window film is a high performance yet cost effective product that once applied, will filter out the harshest of the sunlight, immediately creating a more comfortable internal environment.
Won’t it block my view or make it dark? No. Glare reduction will allow you to gaze out of your window until your heart’s content. As for creating a dark environment, it does filter light, so there will be a difference. The change won’t be enough to require additional light though and on a bright day, you’ll enjoy bright internal levels.
Will it make my glass look different? There are a range of different anti-glare films, each with different performance levels and appearance. Some films are reflective, others are not. The appearance will depend on the requirements you have, but there is a film available to suit every aesthetic taste.
How long will it last? Window film technology is consistently moving forward, meaning products are more effective for longer. Manufacturers warranties tend to be for between 7-10 years, but there is no reason that film can’t be effective for longer than this.
Is it difficult to fit? Will an install mean having to shut the office? Window film is a retro-fit product and can be installed to the internal or external face of the glass. Our installation teams are fully qualified and vastly experienced, meaning that projects can usually be completed with the minimum of fuss.
How quickly will I see the benefits? Immediately! As soon as the film is applied to your glass, it will start to work. By the time you’ve read this, the window you’re sat next to could have had any glare problems solved!
You’ve probably got plenty more questions, so please do get in touch if you’d like any further information, samples or a quote. We’re happy to help and are ready to help you make sure that glare is a thing of the past, so give us a call on 01494 794477 or email info@windowfilm.co.uk.
