Get set for Summer...

Whisper it, but there have been a few recent signs that warmer weather is on the way. Another winter safely has been negotiated and we can now look forward to longer days, shorter nights and all the enjoyment that a British summer brings. Until of course, you remember how hot your office gets when the sun makes an appearance…

We love the variety of work we carry out. It could be printed graphics for football clubs, fade protection for museums or manifestation for film studios. Every day is different, but if there is one thing we can be sure of, it’s that our summer is dominated by requests for help with solar control.

It’s not difficult to understand why. Left unchecked, the sunshine will stream through windows, steadily heating up the interior until it’s uncomfortably warm. The traditional solutions are to crank up the air conditioning, or to block the view with curtains or blinds. Neither option is necessary if you opt for an application of solar control window film.

Window film can be retro-fitted to glass and we recommend an internal application, meaning the installation process can be carried out with the minimum of fuss. The film works by reflecting away a percentage of the sun’s energy before it can enter your premises, while still allowing excellent levels of natural light to pass through the glass.
