Home is where the art is...

We’re excited to have a new addition to our Buckinghamshire headquarters. A new bespoke design adorns the walls and glass partitions of our first floor, and as well as providing a fabulous illustration as to how printed graphics can give an office a stylish new look, the unique graphics provide an eye-catching tribute to our home town.

The design is a bespoke reworking of an original design by local designer Sophie Honeybelle and takes the form of homage to Chesham – the long-time home to The Window Film Company. The artwork represents the town’s architecture, diverse community and beautiful countryside, featuring many of the local landmarks, including the tube station which nestles at the very end of the Metropolitan line.

The original artwork was created in portrait format, but after we approached Sophie, a freelance designer with a host of experience in the creative industries, she kindly reworked the design into a more linear format, adding some additional new elements to make it a genuinely bespoke piece of art.

The design was printed onto two different types of media, for application onto two different surfaces. Digital wallpaper is fully customisable, paste free wallpaper which can be applied to almost any flat surface. It is long lasting and durable, making it suitable for use in high traffic areas, so we chose this option for use in our main office space and board room. The design ran through the centre of the wallpaper, linking up perfectly with the printed frosted film that we applied to the glass partitions in our first floor board room.

The end product provides a bright, colourful and relevant addition to our office. We love it!
