It may be known as American Football, but the NFL (National Football League) has secured a large fan-base here in England, with Wembley Stadium hosting two regular season games this year. Interest in the sport is at unprecedented levels and a series of events were hosted over the weekend of the most recent game between the iconic San Francisco 49ers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
One of the planned events took place on the Saturday before the game, (insert detail about the event here).
The shopping centre was to be totally but temporarily transformed, with printed graphics applied to each shop window to create a fully themed NFL venue. The images, printed in gold on black made for an impressive sight.
Because of the timescales, there were logistical challenges. Firstly, film choice. The graphics were a temporary addition, due to be in place for less than 24 hours. They would have to be removed quickly after the event, allowing the shops to open as normally on Monday so a high quality, yet easy to remove film was vital. The final choice was a low-tack vinyl, a product that can be printed upon and applied to external surfaces, and also removed with the minimum of fuss or disruption.
Installation would also take careful planning. Access to the venue was not possible until midnight on the Friday, meaning the fitting teams would have to work through the night to get the film installed ahead of the Saturday evening event. The Window Film Company used three (CHECK THIS) separate teams to carry out the work, each working until sunrise to complete the job.
The finished product looked spectacular, the vivid images adding to the atmosphere of what was a hugely successful and positive event.
The following morning however, the graphics had to come down, with the shops returned to their previous appearance ahead of opening for trading on the Monday. Once again The Window Film Company's installation teams worked tirelessly to achieve their goal and were able to remove any trace of the NFL bandwagon ever being in town.
The job illustrates perfectly the ability of The Window Film Company to deliver on jobs that require careful project planning. Experienced staff and processes mean that logistical challenges are always met and overcome, with the sole target being to deliver the best possible product - whatever it takes.
