Office interior design is becoming increasingly imaginative, with companies investing time and money in creating attractive, enjoyable and impressive environments for their staff and visitors. A creative force was certainly at work at the premises of a London based client, where two London phone boxes had been repurposed to create an eye-catching entrance to two meeting rooms. The meeting rooms were constructed using floor to ceiling glass partitions, meaning that  manifestation  was required.

With the phone boxes providing an incredible feature, it was important that the manifestation should complement them and add to the impressive look and feel of the office. With the iconic red phone boxes once a common site throughout London, the theme was extended to feature in the design of the manifestation, with a representation of the City skyline the desired appearance.

Legislation dictates that as long as the manifestation covers the glass at a certain height and at certain points it can take almost any form, ranging from solid bands or repeated shapes such as dots and squares, to logos, text and other imagery. The film used for manifestation has to provide a contrast in appearance to the glass and the background, so The Window Film Company's Frostbrite frosted film is a popular choice. Once applied, the film gives glass the appearance of acid etched or sandblasted glass, delivering the necessary contrast.

On this occasion it was agreed that Frostbrite would be the appropriate choice, with the London skyline, featuring iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral cut from the film, delivering the appearance of a stylish silhouette. The artwork was provided by the client and a proof prepared by The Window Film Company's in-house design team. With the proof approved, the film was computer cut and hand finished ahead of installation

Once completed, the manifestation provided a stylish addition to the glass, adding to the London based theme of the interior and serving to complement the magnificent red phone boxes. The manifestation meets all the appropriate guidelines whilst also adding an element of privacy for the meeting rooms, whilst also enhancing the interior design ensuring a comfortable, stylish and safe environment for staff and visitors.
